{Days 5 through 9} 30 Days of Thankfulness

Listen, it's not that I don't want to blog everyday, it's just that I'm extra reminded of how much I'm thankful for....which means I rarely have time to get on here and write before I hear, "momma, momma, momma.."

...which brings me to the past 5 days and what I've been especially thankful for during them....

2014

...this kid...

...this kid right here that stole my heart five years ago...

2014

...his ability to look out the window and create an amazing new world in his little life...

...a world of pirates and dinosaurs...

...a world where he can speak to the stars and the sun is his best friend...

2012

...I admire his love of horses, and one day I promise you, I'll buy him one...

...I love his fearlessness, and how he's ready to conquer the world, even if he's shaking in his cowboy boots...

2013

...I love how excited he gets about hunting with daddy...

...about his BB gun that we bought him last Christmas...

...I love that Western's, Marshall Dillon (Gunsmoke) and Cheyenne are his favorite role models and tv shows...

2014

...you'll shoot yer' eye out...

2014

...I'm thankful for his baby blues that he got from his daddy...

...I'm thankful for his nose that he got from me...

2014

...I am thankful that he loves me, even when he dislikes me...

...I am thankful for his free spirit, because I know that in the long run, he will be a better man because of it...

2012 -- first day of preschool.

...his quirkiness has to be one of my favorite things about him...

...his ability to not care what anyone thinks about him is his second best character trait, right after his ability to make you laugh no matter what...

2014 -- helping daddy build the chicken run.

..I am thankful that he loves to work. Gosh, this kid loves to work...

...I am thankful that stacking wood is his favorite pass-time, and that one day he's going to be a really big help to his daddy....

2014

...I am thankful for his smiles...

...I am thankful for his cries...

...because they both remind me that this isn't a dream, he is real, and he's mine...

2013 -- wearing mommy's glasses

...I am thankful for his goofiness, because it often reminds me to step away from work and the computer, just to take those snap shots that we'll treasure forever...

2013 -- the day after Christmas, loving his cowboy hat

...and most of all, I am thankful that God chose me to love him...

...because I don't ever want to know what this life is like without him...

...he taught me how to wear my heart on my sleeve, how to love unconditionally, and just how much I love stinky little boy hugs...

Today, I am thankful for my son. Because without him, my life would be incomplete.
